Tanya Ward
It was January 2016, and Tanya Ward, a mom of four including twin daughters, remembers coming home from her job as an ultrasound technician and feeling “completely wiped out.”
“I had just come off Christmas, I had a rigorous work schedule, and my babies always seemed to need me when I was the most exhausted. I remember thinking to myself, ‘How am I going to survive another year?’ ”
She decided to put in a call to her friend, Promoter Mauria Dillard, who had been inviting her to try THRIVE. “She told me she was going to change my life,” Ward says.
After completing the three simple steps on her first day, the frazzled mom says she “felt amazing. It was like someone just took my battery and recharged it.” By 10 a.m. that day, she had made all the beds, cleaned the floors, and had meals prepared for that evening. On Day 4, after she completed a long shift at the hospital and still had energy, she remembers telling her husband, “Just so you know, I’m never going to stop taking this!”
When her friends started asking her how they could get the product, Dillard told Ward that she could send them over — or Ward could become a Promoter and THRIVE for free. She chose the second option.
“I wasn’t going to shut up about how great I felt, so I figured I might as well go for it,” she says.
Early on, she started to envision the possibility of being able to work from home to spend more time with her kids. Within the first 60 days, she earned her Auto Bonus, and with a lot of hard work and dedication, she was able to make the shift. “I really never thought a stay-at-home job was in the cards for me,” she says.
To what does she attribute her success? “I was just honest and real with people,” she says. “I never promised to be an expert on the product. I knew that as a Promoter, I had the gift of gold in my hands and everyone around me just didn’t know it yet. It was my job to share it with them.”
In her early days as a Promoter, Ward solicited the help of Promoters like Dillard to participate in three-way calls with potential THRIVERS. “If people asked me a question that I didn’t know the answer to, I’d just say, ‘Great question. I’m so new that I don’t know the answer, but I have my friend here to help. She helped me get my ‘happy’ back, and now we’re going to help you do the same thing.’ ”
Reflecting back to the beginning of her THRIVE Experience, Ward says she’s thankful that she took the leap. “Before I found THRIVE, I kind of just thought this was what motherhood was like when you’re in your thirties and knocking on the door of your forties,” she says. “Now I know how much better life can be.”
